Fall Festivities In and Around Haddonfield, NJ

Fall might just be Haddonfield's season. The tree-lined streets, historic downtown and small-town rhythm all come together once the weather turns. From local festivals and Halloween traditions to pumpkin patches and corn mazes just a short drive away, there's plenty to put on the calendar.

Here's where to find some of the best fall fun in and around Haddonfield in 2026.

Haddonfield Fall Festival and Craft Show

Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Rain or Shine

One of Haddonfield's signature fall events returns to downtown on the first Saturday in October.

The 2026 Haddonfield Fall Festival brings local nonprofit organizations to the sidewalks along Kings Highway, while Tanner Street becomes the festival's dedicated craft area. Kings Court will feature activities and entertainment, and the weekly Farmers Market will be happening nearby.

It's the kind of Saturday made for wandering downtown, browsing local makers, stopping into shops and restaurants, and inevitably running into someone you know.

One important note for 2026: Kings Highway is expected to remain open to traffic, while the craft show takes place along Tanner Street.

Haddonfield Halloween Parade

October 30 | 6:30 p.m.

Halloween in Haddonfield comes with its own hometown tradition.

The annual Haddonfield Halloween Parade brings hundreds of costumed children, families and even a few dressed-up dogs down historic Kings Highway. The Haddonfield Memorial High School Marching Band leads the festivities.

Participants traditionally line up around 6 p.m. at Chestnut Street and Kings Highway, with the parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. and ending behind Borough Hall.

For families, it's one of those events that captures exactly what people love about living in a close-knit town.

Pumpkin Picking and Fall Farms, a Short Drive Away

You don't have to travel far from Haddonfield to find a proper pumpkin patch. Several South Jersey farms turn into full fall destinations during September and October.

Johnson's Corner Farm

133 Church Road, Medford, NJ

Johnson's is a South Jersey fall classic. Its Fall Harvest season runs from early September through October 31, with hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a family-friendly corn maze, the Discovery Barnyard and Animal Farm, seasonal produce and plenty of reasons to stop at the Farmhouse Bakery and Cafe.

One thing to know for 2026: due to spring frost, the farm has announced that it will not offer apple picking this year. Pumpkins, sweet potatoes and popcorn are still expected to be available during the fall harvest.

Because picking conditions can change with the weather, check the farm's current schedule before heading out.

Indian Acres Tree Farm

111 Tuckerton Road, Medford, NJ

Indian Acres offers a slightly different take on the traditional fall maze. Instead of corn, the farm is known for its giant sorghum maze, with experiences designed for different ages.

Fall activities have traditionally included wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, scarecrow-filled mazes, a play area, barrel train rides on select days, goats and alpacas, apple cider donuts and other seasonal fun.

The farm currently lists its 2026 weekend fall activities from September 19 through November 1, although 2026 pricing and some activity details are still to be announced. Check the farm directly before planning your visit.

Russo's Fruit & Vegetable Farm

529 Medford Lakes Road, Tabernacle, NJ

For another classic South Jersey farm day, head a little farther out to Russo's in Tabernacle.

Russo's 2026 fall season runs Friday through Sunday from September 18 through October 31, with wagon rides, pumpkin picking and a walk-through corn maze among its fall offerings. The farm is also scheduled to open on October 12.

Like Johnson's, Russo's lost its apple crop to the spring freeze, so there will be no pick-your-own apples for the 2026 season.

Make a Side Trip to the Collingswood Book Festival

Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If books are more your speed than pumpkins, neighboring Collingswood has one of the area's best October traditions.

The 24th annual Collingswood Book Festival takes over more than six blocks of Haddon Avenue with authors, booksellers, storytellers, poetry readings, workshops, performers and exhibitors.

Admission to the festival's events is free.

It happens to fall on the same day as the Haddonfield Fall Festival this year, so ambitious fall planners could make a full day out of visiting both towns.

Keep an Eye Out for Trunk-or-Treats and Community Events

Churches, schools and community organizations throughout the Haddonfield area typically host additional Halloween and fall events as October approaches.

Rather than relying on dates from previous years, check the Downtown Haddonfield and Borough of Haddonfield websites closer to October for confirmed 2026 trunk-or-treats, costume events, pumpkin decorating and other neighborhood festivities.

Why This Time of Year Matters Here

Fall in Haddonfield isn't just about pumpkins and decorations. It's one of those seasons when the character of the town is especially easy to see.

You have a historic, walkable downtown filled with activity, community traditions that bring generations of families together, and easy access to farms and fall destinations throughout South Jersey.

For anyone considering a move to Haddonfield, fall is a particularly good time to spend a Saturday here. Walk Kings Highway, grab coffee, explore the side streets, stop by a community event and see what everyday life feels like beyond the houses themselves.

Because finding the right place to live isn't only about the property. It's also about finding a community that feels like home.

Thinking about making Haddonfield home? Reach out anytime. We'd be happy to talk about the neighborhoods, the market and what it's really like to live here year-round.
